While APQS machines don't just "go out of time," occasionally a mishap like a broken needle can change the timing between the hook assembly and the needle. If your machine skips stitches in the manual sewing mode or is not picking up stitches, use this video to help check or adjust your machine's timing. Imbalanced tension is not related to timing, however.
