Love decorating for the holidays but struggle with finding a holiday table runner for your round kitchen table? We’ve got you covered with this fun star-crossed table runner.
Many table runners are simply too long for a 48-inch wide table, causing them to drag on the chairs. The solution? A crisscrossed table cover! This design will frame out any centerpiece. Add a bouquet of flowers, a bowl of fruit, or whatever you like.
Don’t have a round table, or do you prefer a square topper? There are instructions for additional blocks in this free pattern to fill in those corners too.
**PRO TIP from Dawn Cavanaugh: When drawing lines on fabric patches, place them on top of a clean piece of sandpaper with fine grit. The sandpaper holds the fabric while you drag your pencil along the marker’s edge so that it doesn’t wrinkle and distort. And you can simply spin the sandpaper around if you need to mark a line on the other side of the seam marker so you don’t have to be a contortionist.
