Feature highlight: Quilt Glide

Do you want to do detailed quilting with your longarm?  If you have the Quilt Glide feature on APQS Millie or Freddie, you are in luck, because detailed quilting just got so much easier!  Why?  Quilt Glide automatically toggles between manual and stitch-regulated mode, giving you the best of both worlds.

If you attempt detailed stitching in stitch-regulated mode, you can feel some drag and the stitches look chunky.

To resolve this, you could switch to manual mode.  But when you want to go back to regular stitching, you have to switch back to stitch regulated mode.  If you forget to do this, you will end up with big stitches where you sped up again.  So inconvenient to have to keep switching back and forth. And frustrating if you forget and have to pull out those big stitches!

When you use Quilt Glide, your machine automatically adjusts to what you are doing.  When you are going slowly for detailed stitching, it switches to manual mode, allowing for smaller stitches and smoother curves.  When you start to speed up, it switches to stitch regulated mode and your regular stitch length.  Perfect!
