8 inspiring APQS quilters to follow on Instagram

July 5, 2017

Instagram allows you to see what inspires people and how creativity is drawn from their everyday life. This is especially evident among quilters! There are countless quilters on the social media platform who share glimpses of what it’s like to be a quilter by posting images of quilts they’re working on, designs they love, things they’re struggling with and more.

We’ve pulled together a list of eight APQS quilters who we find particularly inspiring. We hope you’ll check them out and consider following them, too!

Andrea Munro

Andrea, who goes by practicaldazzle on Instagram, is a custom longarm quilter based in Fort McMurray, Alberta. She works on an APQS Millie and doesn’t only share images of her stunning finished quilts, but also lots of pictures of the process itself. We LOVE that!

Kathleen Riggins

Kathleen, a.k.a kathleenquilts, is another Canadian-based APQS quilter and her Instagram feed is filled with the stunning quilts she creates on her APQS Lucey. No shortage of inspiration here!

Starlit Bear

Starlit Bear, who goes by starlitquilts, has not one, but two APQS Millie machines in her studio in Washington. She uses her Instagram feed to share images of the quilts she’s created for her customers. You’ll find anything from T-shirt quilts to stunning custom work.

Heidi Rodli

Heidi is known as pieceandjoyquiltingco on Instagram. She’s a Dallas, Oregon-based longarm quilter who uses her Insta feed to share quilting adventures “with a dose of ‘real’ life on the side.” (She uses an APQS Millie.)

Jill Zollinger

Jill Zollinger, or sewsouthern_jill, quilts on an APQS Millie, and fills her Instagram feed with all kinds of quilting eye candy. We love seeing the variety in her customer quilts!

Cristina Arcenegui Bono

When you follow entrealgodonespatchwork on Instagram you’ll quickly realize that this Spanish APQS quilter churns out quilts at a pretty amazing pace. Her work is gorgeous and it’s sure to inspire the quilter within you, too!
