Bernadette Mayr

Bernadette Mayr lives in Germany and is an APQS quilt artist and teacher. While she’s a trained laboratory assistant, she became a quiltmaker and painter in 1988. She has since traveled all across Europe and the world, educating herself on painting and textile art, and is known for her intricate stitching detail, free cutting techniques and bold colors.

Bernadette is a member of the Patchwork Guild of Germany and the Quilt Art Society, and she was the editor of the Germany patchworld Guilds newspaper from 1990-2000. As a quilt instructor, she gives classes and lectures in Germany and abroad.

Her quilts have been featured in numerous publications and exhibits for the past several decades, including her four book Flower Patchwork, Houses Patchwork, Garden Patchwork and Water Patchwork.For more information, please visit her website at: www.bernadette-mayr.de.
