Matt Sparrow

Like many quilters, Matt Sparrow stumbled across quilting by accident. His wife, Bradie, who is also Matt’s business partner of Sparrow Studioz, casually asked him one day what he thought about the fabric hearts she was laying out to applique. She went to the washroom, and Matt couldn’t resist his urge to rearrange the hearts in a pattern he liked more. By the time Bradie returned, Matt had become a quilter.

Since his quilting debut, Matt has made major strides. He became an APQS dealer in Oct. 2009, and after only three months, he won the Rookie Sales Rep award. He also started his own online community for male quilters. Matt’s nickname, "ManQuilter” spurred his brand. Today, ManQuilter.com has more than 200 members dedicated to quilting, and his personal ManQuilter blog has more than 66,000 followers.

Matt and his quilting work has been featured in a number of Canadian and American publications, such as Quilter’s Connection Magazine, Quilter’s Home Magazine and many more.

Matt is currently a longarm quilter, teacher, writer, blogger, social media addict, APQS dealer and established quilter. Want more information about Matt? Visit Sparrow Studioz or ManQuilter for more information about his longarm quilting classes.
