Quilt artists, instructors and custom quilters worldwide tell us everyday they purchased an APQS quilting

machine because of the stitch quality.
"My favorite thing about the APQS Millennium is the stitches," says Karen McTavish.
Grab a magnifying glass, just like a judge at a quilting show, and you'll see exactly what we mean.
As opposed to the digital stitch-regulators commonly used in our competitors machines and limited to only yes-no decisions, APQS's PerfectStitch uses "fuzzy logic" to create a range of values, producing stitches of consistent length - even as you change quilting speed or direction - and makes perfect star points and squares with crisply defined corners. "Fuzzy logic is an elegant solution," notes senior engineer and developer Mike Moore, " it combines the best of both the digital and analog worlds. Our solution provides even, consistent stiches in the longarm evironment of highly variable and unpredictable conditons. It "smoothes the edges" so to speak, circumventing the typical problems associated with the digital stitch-regulators found in the marketplace today that rely on the limited yes-no digital logic."
Simply select 8 to 15 stitches per inch, and every stitch will be the same, giving your quilts a professional look.
A gauge on the front of the machine confirms the stitches per inch you've selected with the PerfectStitch "On" position. It also tells stitches per second when you quilt manually.
A product of advanced APQS engineering, our proudest accomplishment, PerfectStitch has no lag time when adjusting the needlebar speed on the fly during freehand quilting. That give you greater control.
The stitch regulator reduces practice time, allowing you to begin quilting faster and even to cleanly stop, think and restart while in the middle of creating your designs. (watch video)
The APQS PerfectStitch works together with the Smart Bobbin™ and easy to change tension adjustment to allow you to "draw" with your needle.
