MASTER QUILTER - Noriko Endo
Noriko literally paints landscapes with a longarm machine, using thread for colors and stitches for brush strokes. Her quilts have an impressionistic quality about them, reminiscent of Monet, but with vibrant hues.
Her remarkable color sense was gained from watching her mother knit garments using a large selection of balls of yarn.
Since 1985, with the duties of raising a family behind her, she has devoted herself entirely to creating quilts that express her exuberant sense of color and deep appreciation for the bold majesty of mature trees.
